About Me
Hi! I’m Dr. Monica Dayanand, and I am so glad you’re here.
Supporting women and couples in creating healthier bodies, balanced lives, and thriving families is truly one of my life’s greatest passions. I specialize in helping busy, high-achieving individuals navigate the often overwhelming path of optimizing their health—especially when it comes to fertility and reproductive wellness—without adding more stress to their lives.
My approach blends evidence-based guidance with deeply personalized, comprehensive care. Every treatment plan is thoughtfully designed to be efficient, effective, and tailored to your unique body, empowering you with both the tools and the support needed to restore balance, build resilience, and feel at home in your body again.
Dr. Monica Dayanand, L.Ac., DAOM, FABORM, is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a licensed acupuncturist in both Texas and California. She is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and is board-certified through the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCBAHM) in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She is also a Fellow of the Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM)—a distinction held by only a small number of practitioners in Houston.
Her clinical focus includes women’s reproductive health—particularly fertility, pregnancy, postpartum care—as well as pain management and perimenopause/menopause. With a deep respect for the intelligence of the human body, Dr. Dayanand integrates modern medical understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology with time-honored holistic therapies. The result is a truly integrative approach that supports physical, emotional, and mental well-being, while enhancing flexibility, vitality, and overall health.
Dr. Dayanand earned her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in Houston, where she also completed an externship in the gynecology and pediatrics departments at one of China’s leading hospitals in Tianjin. She later received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, with advanced training in obstetrics and gynecology.
Her additional training includes certification as a postpartum doula, infant massage instructor, and fertility, prenatal, and postnatal yoga teacher. She has also studied extensively in Maya Abdominal Therapy with Dr. Rosita Arvigo, training both in Central America and the United Kingdom.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Dayanand enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She loves traveling, studying languages (including French, Spanish, and Italian), deepening her practice in Kiiko Matsumoto-style acupuncture and Japanese Hara diagnosis, and exploring movement through her local Acroyoga community.
